Growing Grants, Growing Good

Each year, Slow Food DFW awards ten $500 Growing Grants to deserving schools, organizations and community gardens and farms. The awards are given to groups who show dedication and passion for growing food, building communities and understanding how to cultivate and provide good, clean, fair food for all.

The Slow Food DFW Growing Grants program was created to fill gaps that we see in traditional funding sources for local food-related projects. Priority for funding is given to Black, Indigenous, LatinX, People of Color, women and/or veteran lead, use of local skills and resources and availability of locally grown food.

Together, we can support local food producers working to create a more resilient, equitable, diverse and healthy food system.
